We stayed parked at the boat launch overnight and were blessed with another cloudless blue sky day. It was definitely warmer than yesterday so today the kids and I all got in the water.

Happy Birthday Grandpa! At 60 years old, you’re even more grand than before! 🙂
We enjoyed our overnight stay at the Mississippi welcome center (it was a nice rest area, with benches and facilities).
April 8 – swamp tour
On a recommendation from a friend, we scheduled a swamp tour with the Honey Island Swamp Tour company.
April 7 – around NOLA
Trying to catchup, so not much going to be said. We stayed at this nice trailhead in the Big Branch Marsh National Wildlife Refuge.
