We made a reservation (I know, I’m really proud of myself, usually I just show up and ask if there’s availability) for two nights at Mammoth Cave National Park. We were going to get in late and figured we’d get down into the cave the next day.
We ended up making it to the park in time to check out the visitor center, talk with the rangers and get prepped for tomorrow’s activities. We also bought a sticker for the van, and took some fun photos of the kids looking like spelunkers.
Then we went to our campsite as the rain started to fall, which it did for the rest of the evening, there’s no rain in caves, so we look forward to tomorrow.
