Flying back into NoLa, I took a Lyft ride back to the KOA where the family was stying while I was “playing” in Virginia. We got checked out of the site and headed Northwest to Chicot State Park where we tucked into a very nice site. This place was empty and quiet, and had free washing machines!
There was also a bunch of blown down wood, so the kids and I collected enough for a little fire so we could make smores.
Jen whipped up a scrumptious meal for dinner and we all sat together and ate dinner as a family. We’ve been together so much that it was strange being away from these three for so long (3 days).
In fact, I think with all the time we’re spending together, we’re all getting a little strange.
